Visit Carmel
Overview:
Visit Carmel is a private, non-profit 501(c)6 organization dedicated to promoting the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea as an overnight destination and charged with managing the marketing programs for the Carmel Hospitality Improvement District and the Carmel Restaurant Improvement District.
Tourism is the leading industry in the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea and generates $6-$7 million in hotel tax revenue annually, which directly benefits its residents and businesses. Visit Carmel generates funding for its annual destination marketing, advertising, public relations, and social media campaigns through a 2% assessment on gross overnight rooms revenue, and a .25% assessment on gross food and beverage sales in Carmel's full-service restaurants.
For more detail about the organzation, feel free to review the most recent Visit Carmel Annual Report.
