Contemporary California Cuisine Meets Old World Service at Anton & Michel

A Carmel institution, Anton & Michel has been an icon of romantic fine dining on the Monterey Peninsula for more than four decades. A complete makeover in 2013 resulted in an interior featuring an expanded lounge and a more open, airy space. Also enhanced – a view of the signature fountain via floor to ceiling windows. Colors are warm, earthy tones. Columns and hand set masonry stones highlight a rustic and intimate ambiance.

Comfortable sofa seating in front of the fireplace in the lounge invites casual drop-in enjoyment. Classic table-side service specialties (including flambé desserts) and elegance still prevail. Known for attentive and customized planning, Anton & Michel is a favorite for special events such as private parties and wedding rehearsals.
