Welcome to Carmel Art Walk! Come meet the artists and tour 14 local artist-owned galleries in Carmel-by-the-Sea on the second Saturday of every month from 4-7pm.

Back at the turn of the century, Carmel's small population was dominated by artists. In fact, a 1910 report stated that over 60% of homes in Carmel were owned by individuals pursuing a life in the arts. The pristine beauty, free-thinking community, and solitude of Carmel, made it an exciting place in which to develop an artistic voice. Thus was born Carmel's Bohemian art colony. A century later, come experience this tradition along the Carmel Art Walk.
