Cypress Inn welcomes not only our guests, but also their animal friends.   We firmly believe that pets are an integral part of the family.  Pets may join their humans throughout the hotel, in the cozy living room for afternoon tea, or in our charming courtyard for breakfast or evening appetizers.

Terry's Restaurant + Lounge serves lunch and dinner each evening, and attracts a colorful combination of locals, guests and canines.  Our menu draws on the bounty of fresh local produce found here in the Salinas Valley, with flavorful hints of the Mediterranean and Morocco. Terry's provides a perfect gathering place to enjoy small plates and family-style dishes in an intimate surrounding, with attentive service, classic cocktails and a great selection of wines.

Cypress Inn is committed to daily business practices that are gentle to the environment, including an extensive recycle program.  Our restaurant is the first and only in Carmel to join the Monterey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch program, which encourages sustainable fishing practices. We purchase locally and organically whenever possible and we seek to partner with businesses that share our environmental awareness.

Cypress Inn is raising a glass to California Wine Month this September with a spirited series of wine evenings celebrating some of the Central Coast's standout wineries at Terry's Restaurant + Lounge.

Three Wednesdays. Three celebrated local wineries. One very Carmel way to toast California wine.

Guests are invited to settle in, discover new favorites, mingle with fellow wine lovers and enjoy special pours from Blair Wines, Wrath Wines and Bernardus Winery throughout September.

Wednesday, Sept. 16, 4-5pm — Blair Wines
Kick off the series with Blair Wines and a taste of Monterey County wine country in the heart of Carmel-by-the-Sea.

Wednesday, Sept. 23, 4-5pm — Wrath Wines
Raise a glass with Wrath Wines and discover wines inspired by the cool-climate vineyards of the Monterey region.

Wednesday, Sept. 30, 4-5pm — Bernardus Winery
Close out California Wine Month with Bernardus Winery and a final toast to the people, vineyards and wines that make the Central Coast such an extraordinary wine destination.

September is harvest season on the Central Coast, making it an especially fitting time to celebrate the region's vineyards and winemakers. At Cypress Inn, the month is less about formal wine tasting and more about what great wine has always done best — bringing people together.
