Carmel-by-the-Sea Carmel Artists - Scott Jacobs
Scott Lawrence Jacobs was born in Hartford Connecticut. He is the nephew of Daniel Chester French, the Designer of the Lincoln Memorial. Scott grew up with a natural talent and love of art. He has been painting since he was three years old and is mostly a self-taught artist. He has trained under Andrew Jackson and graduated Hartford College of art while still attending high school. Scott joined the U.S. Navy at age 20 and was commissioned for the Navy's mural battalion in Africa. After completing his time in the Navy, Scott decided to pursue his passion of art as his career path. As fate would have it, a year later his work had reached CNN world News and was on the cover of magazines. Following his success in Southern California Scott moved to Carmel-by-the-Sea and was soon being shown in Mountainsong Galleries on Ocean Avenue, the Premiere destination of any artist. Mountainsong Galleries features the most OPA (Oil Painters of America) and AIS (American Impressionist Society) Master Artists than any other gallery in the world. Scott's work is Museum and Celebrity collected. He is currently showing at The Scott Jacobs Gallery in Carmel-by-the-Sea, CA on Mission Street between 5th and 6th Street inside the courtyard.
