Light+Shadow Fine Art is an artist owned and operated Fine Art Gallery located in the beautiful Monterey, California Peninsula. Our Fine Art Gallery is situated in the art district of the world celebrated vacation destination, in the charming and historic town of Carmel by the Sea, California.

Light+Shadow Fine Art is the gallery of record representing the Fine Art of international award winning master Fine Artist Thierry Thompson. While Thierry once designed, fabricated and engineered sophisticated open-wheeled formula race cars internationally, Thierry left the world of racing to pursue his artistic dreams and has been painting professionally for over 40 years. Because of his vast life's experiences, Thierry has a tremendous sense of place, design and aesthetics, which is reflected in all of his Fine Art creations.  Thierry's creations hang in some of the most important Fine art collections in the world, ranging from the Mercedes-Benz and Porsche corporate collections, the Pentagon in Washington DC, museums, to international collections large and small, both corporate and personal.

We are located in the "Sixth Avenue Art District" of Carmel by the Sea, just a few steps away from the azure blue Pacific Ocean, Carmel's famed romantic white sand beaches and the majesty of California's Pacific coast. As Thierry states "The Monterey Peninsula, Big Sur, Point Lobos and Carmel by the Sea are the greatest meeting of land and water on the face of the earth.  The Peninsula and the surrounding region are breathtaking and equally inspiring".

As one of only a handful of artist owned and operated galleries in Carmel by the Sea, we proudly exhibit the artists impressive large format original oils, acrylics and encaustics. With over 40 years of experience in the Fine Art world, our team of art consultants specialize in assisting with the creation and growth of important Fine Art collections whether they are established collections or you are a novice Fine Art investor with aspirations to establish a unique collection of your own.
