Galante Vineyards opened the first wine tasting room in Carmel in 2005, showcasing one of the best Cabernets in Monterey County. Many of the WINE WALK tasting rooms represent long-time winery families in Monterey County such as Caraccioli Cellars and Scheid Vineyards. Two of the wine tasting rooms, Cima Collina and Wrath Wines, present wine made by female winemakers.
Some of the wine tasting rooms show up in other businesses such as Figge Cellars in a well-established art gallery, the Winfield Gallery. The Cheese Shop, famous for tasting of cheese from all over the world, also has wine tasting. Tudor wines are available for tasting in Andre’s Bouchee Bistro. The Bountiful Basket offers wine tasting along with olive oil tasting.
Southern Latitude Wines, Vino Napoli, La Bicyclette Restaurant and Nielsen Bros. Market offer wine tasting from Australia, New Zealand, Italy and from around the world.

Formerly the location for Piatti's Restaurant, Vesuvio has quickly become a local favorite along with a stylish rooftop deck.
Locally renowned restaurateur Rich Pepe has done it again with his most recent creation, Vesuvio — the newest Italian dining experience to hit Carmel-by-the-Sea, since Pepe's first success with Little Napoli in 1991.
